[ hello laurence in the garden today, little green chao sitting on a bench nearby, kicking its feet. he's still got his laurel crown of flowers sitting in his hair and some vines around his throat and wrists, but otherwise he doesn't look that different from normal. ]

Hey, Koharu, are you any good with flowers?

[ She definitely starts off with a 'you're asking me?' expression on her face. ]

Only a little. Did you need help with something?

You don't have to help. I'm just not that great at this stuff, myself.

[ despite being the local flower boy (literal). he shrugs. ]

Elysia asked me to make some bouquets yesterday.

Just simple ones? I don't know a lot about flower language, but color coordinating should be easy enough.

Flower language isn't really my thing, either... [ maybe he should've asked zhongli. ] But I don't think she's expecting anything extravagant, just... nice.

She likes pink, so I figured I'd just start there.

I don't think she would mind no matter what you came up with. Pink is good—maybe some red and purple flowers to go with it, too?

Maybe some of those? [ points at some pink chrysanthemums. ] I think there were some red tulips or dahlias somewhere, too...

You really think purple would go well enough?

It's close to reds, isn't it? What do they call it... Ana... logous colors?

Analagous? [ looks at the flowers thoughtfully. ] I remember Iris talking about that sometimes... Okay. I guess we'll try purple. And if it looks bad, it'll be your fault.

—M- mine?! I mean I guess it's my idea but it shouldn't look bad!

Relax, I'm just kidding. She'll be happy with anything as long as there's a little thought put into it.

What are some good purple flowers...?

Sheesh... I think carnations are popular in bouquets—and lilies, too.

[ he pauses when she mentions lilies, frowning. ]

...No pink lilies. The carnations would be fine, though.

Hm? Are pink lilies no good?

Elysia probably wouldn't mind, but I don't really want to think about them.

... Okay, we can skip on the lilies. Anemone, then?

Which one is that again? We don't have a garden or anything back home... I don't know it.

Oh. They’re... kind of cute. [ huh. ] I guess we can add some of those in. Thanks, Koharu. You know a lot of flowers for someone who said she can only do simple bouquets.

—Oh, no no, I really don't. I just know the names, but flower language and meanings is totally beyond me.

It's still more than I know. I've only ever thought about the ones demiflora are named after before this.
