I feel like that's probably separate. We still don't know the cause behind those, whereas the angels said that a friend was watching over the lost souls, who're in the process of healing.

I'm just wondering what anyone gets out of it, I guess. There's something affecting us here, but if the dead's souls don't disappear and are safe elsewhere, then it doesn't make sense to me.

It may be that that part was unintentional—that whatever is causing the killings didn't think the souls would be found.

Though it's been brought up that whatever party this is, it might be that they want this entire redemption trial to be proven a failure.
