He stops, eventually, and glances back down at Koharu, chilling at the look on her face. ]
[ He slows down, and her along with it; at this point, her stomach may as well be tying into a knot. Marcoh is silent, and though she feels his grip tighten around her hand, she can't tell what he's thinking. Is he angry with her...?
After what feels like hours passing within the span of minutes, Koharu ventures into the silence. ]
I— I'm sorry, I should've stopped and covered my ears.
[ He feels pretty guilty that despite that, she'd still hold his hand. But he'll lead them out then. You can still give me a mem back or not whatever you like... ]
They wander through, and it almost seems as if all will remain silent. Unfortunately, through the images that begin to ripple back to life upon the surface of mirrors, a loud crash interrupts the silence they both surely wished would stay. And with that, a scene begins to play. (p. 24-30, yippee) ]
[ It isn't long before Koharu freezes mid-step, hearing moments that come all too familiar to her. Koharu's gaze doesn't manage to focus on anything in particular, but her mouth purses into a thin line, eyes growing wide. Then: ]
[ It's funny how the mirror maze usually is just-confusing enough to let two memories play and then you can make your way out, it's like the setting is forcing a heart-to-heart equivalent exchange or something. Hmmm. Funny. He readjusts his hold on her hand to be less firm, more gentle, and they can get the fuck out of here. ]
